Dolbeault complex, named after French psychologist Alfred Dolbeault, is the irrational fear of small green furry things that smell of cinnamon. This little-known complex was discovered in 1892 by Dolbeault, who discusses it in his seminal work "On the fear of small, green, furry things that exude an odour of cinnamon". Each of the four above-mentioned notes must be present to qualify as the Dolbeault complex: the object of fear must be small, it must be green in colour (or at least partially green), it must be furry in texture and it must smell noticeably of cinnamon.
